The main thing I love about Christmas is wrapping gifts! I love thinking as I tie the ribbons how much the receiver is going to love their gift. I spent the last two hours wrapping and I have only my Dads and my brother's present to go. Mum's gift is unfortunately an IOU I can't really order one of these in time for Christmas. :3 callyfin's gift is somewhere in the Pacific. (I need a Christmas icon of a Tomcat, stat) I've been super domestic today. Since I have Saturday off and tomorrow as well, I'm planning on making a gluten-free golden fruit cake for Mum. I've just finished basting and seasoning my Portuguese chicken I'm cooking for dinner tonight. If it tastes good, I'll save the recipe. My Nan is now in rehab, no longer in ICU! Oh man, I am super glad. To finish off I am enjoying ginger beer of the GODS.  Ginger ilu. |

Um. No. So I work hard on a entry...and my prize is more work? Firstly: I HATE comic work. It's part of the reason I stopped doing Transformers comics is it's too hard to MASH my style into comic strip form. (also I am struggling with Obscure Terminals, really). Secondly...painterly detailed backgrounds and then this? I can't see it working at all. *I get lots of notes asking me to enter into a contest, and I usually politely refuse, but I was so flabbergasted at this one! AHEM ANZAC PIN <3  It's obvious they aren't real. Service pins are not wafer thin pressed metal, but I love the detail in them. RISING SUN AND CROWN JEWELSSSSSSS. |

Today while I was waiting in line to pick up some mail from the Post Office (it was my free PS3!) I spied a set of ANZAC replica pins in a wooden box in one of the "glass" cabinets. It was discounted and I impulse bought it. I love collecting pins/badges patches and coins from Army/Navy/Air Force. I got home and it turns out there's no backing clasp for the actual pins. *rolls eyes* explains why it was so cheap but I figure I can buy them dirt cheap from a craft store. (I'll probably pin them on my satchel). What was rather funny is I spied a set of RAN dolphins (submariner rank) pins the other day. And after gawking at them, immediately walked away. I can't bring myself to buy/collect AUSTRALIAN Naval pins/collectables, because it feels wrong somehow. Like I'm denying myself the chance to earn them. It feels cheap to me. I think I'd feel the same way about Air Force memorbilia if I was joining the RAAF. I have no problem collecting US, Thai, Chinese and Russian Naval stuff, but I always have this funny twist in my gut when I see an eBay auction or something like that. *Thanks to hybridwulfe I now have a growing assortment of Sub patches, coins and pins. I wear my pewter US dolphins everyday on my right sleeve. :D |

I'm feeling very ansty and bitchy lately, and it's all down to a lot of things that are messy and unresolved. I don't sit back and wait for things to happen very well. I always want to DO something. And DOING something isn't the right answer. DOING something could fuck up a lot of things. Agdgrg.jdjhghjbbln *grumble* I'm even getting testy at what seems like a slew of "omg Doctor Who won't be the same without David Tennant!" posts/blogs/forums at my usual haunts. It's bugging me a little bit,' cause DUH it'll be different, but saying it'll suck/be bad/won't like it/hate he's leaving isn't well....fair. I have grown to love ALL ten (and soon to be eleven) main actors in Doctor Who. So I say bring it <3 (it's deja vu, because lol the exact same thing happened when Nine > Ten) Doctor Who related: I managed to pick up the Series Two boxset. Ah, but you thought I had Series Two on DVD? I do. But not the boxset. And not dubbed in....Japanese. :D :D ANYWAY I TTLY FORGOT TO POST THESE SKETCHES HERE! ( Have some godly ponies ) |

I have my 46'' TV, after a week of DRAMA. Christ, I am tempted to never buy anything from JB-HIFI again. BUT THEY SELL DVDS SO CHEAP. ;_; 46'' is a lot of LCD. It is going to be glorious. Due to how my iPhone was destroyed, I got it replaced with a service part at no charge. *happy* Only downside is my Fighter Jet skin was completely destroyed. That's cool, I'll probably buy one of those custom skins anyway. ;D Also:  :D :D :D *bidding on it* |
